Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the Glitch Squad mobile application ("Glitch Squad", "the App", "we", "us", or "our") handles information. Glitch Squad is a single-player educational game designed for children (approximately ages 7–9), in which a damaged robot character asks the player to find real-world objects and scan them with the device camera.

We have designed Glitch Squad to be privacy-first and to collect as little personal information as possible. We do not require an account, we do not ask for a name or email, and we do not upload your photos, videos, or camera images anywhere.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

2. Camera Use

Glitch Squad uses the device camera so the player can point it at real-world objects (such as fruit, school items, or household items) to complete in-game challenges.

You can revoke camera permission at any time in your device's system settings. Without camera access, the scanning gameplay will not function.

3. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

To make the game work, Glitch Squad stores some information locally on your device only (using the device's local storage). This information never leaves your device and is not accessible to us. It includes:

This data is removed when you delete the App from your device.

4. Local Notifications

If you (or a parent/guardian) enable reminders, the App schedules local notifications on the device to gently remind the player to continue their missions. These notifications are generated and scheduled entirely on the device. We do not use push notifications sent from a server, and no personal information is transmitted to deliver them. Notifications can be turned off at any time in the App's settings or in your device's system settings.

5. Purchases

Glitch Squad may offer optional in-app purchases (for example, full access to additional content). Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store and managed through a third-party purchase-management service (RevenueCat) used to validate and restore purchases.

For more information, see Apple's Privacy Policy and RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

6. Children's Privacy

Glitch Squad is intended for children and is designed to comply with children's privacy laws, including the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and, where applicable, the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation provisions concerning children (GDPR-K).

Because the App does not collect personal information from children, require accounts, or contain behavioral advertising or open communication features, there is no personal information for a parent to review or delete beyond uninstalling the App, which removes all locally stored data.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have inadvertently handled a child's personal information in a way that concerns you, please contact us using the details below.

7. Data Security

Because game data is stored only on the device and camera processing happens only on the device, your information stays under your control. We recommend keeping your device's operating system up to date and protected with a passcode.

8. Third-Party Services

The App relies on the following third parties only for the limited purposes described above:

These services have their own privacy policies governing their handling of information.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this document. Significant changes will be reflected in an updated version made available through the App or its store listing.
